The Solution Sensing capabilities for munitions have increased dramatically in recent years, promising enhanced applicability for a broader set of missions. Semi-autonomous operation using imaging sensors offers more efficient battle management opportunities. Adaptive image processing techniques permit rapid and efficient segmentation of images into targets. Active contour techniques localize targets in the image plane and provide important target recognition data. Combining the image processing and target localization and recognition with dynamic models of the munition motion, we can predict target positioning for guidance to target.
